I am a Certified Family and Nutritional Herbalist with a Degree in Clinical Herbalism, and my passion is helping families practice preventative health naturally, as well as helping to reverse current health problems. Additionally, I offer 5 different sessions to help you and your family with any questions or concerns you may have. Feel free to even utilize me along side your MD or naturopath. Ever wondered what's growing right under your feet? Meigen Bouman, Founder and Clinical Herbalist of Magpie Apothecary, leads hands (and feet)-on herb walks for libraries, clubs, homeschool groups, church groups and more — a wonderful way to learn to identify, forage, and use the plants growing in your own backyard.

Let me come to you. These in-home visits (about an hour) are perfect for a mom with a house full of littles, someone recovering at home, or a caregiver who needs an extra set of hands and some guidance. While I'm there, I can teach you how to apply poultices, fomentations, use a slant board, and other treatments. We can organize your herbal supplements and regimen together right in your own home.
One night, a mom called me at 10pm — she'd just gotten her many children to bed when one woke up with hives, and her husband was out of town. I grabbed a few things and drove over, coached her through what to do, gave her a tincture, held the new baby while she settled the toddler, and helped tuck her relieved little one back into bed. That's the kind of care I want every family to have access to.
