How to Replace Tylenol in Your Medicine Cabinet
Praise the Lord that Charlie Kirk saw the vision and pursued the joining of forces between RFK Jr. and President Trump. RFK Jr. is right where he needs to be and I hope this is only the beginning in Health & Human Services reform in this country. Can you imagine, actual science study based medicine!!!
The physicians notice, safety label change, and HHS public service campaign notifying us about the studies outlining the risks of Tylenol (acetaminophen) in pregnancy as it pertains to autism in children, as well as liver damage in any recipient, leaves us with questions about what to take instead of Tylenol. When we have a fever, pain, or headache what are we to take when we have always been told and assumed Tylenol was safe? Below you will find what you can take not just instead, but safely and as even a better alternative.
Pain: To replace tylenol for pain we have to ask ourselves why the pain, then we can begin to address it correctly. We need to bring ourselves up out of the mindless pill-popping culture that just throws pills down our throats to make the symptoms go away. Symptoms are often warning signs, and we need to think clearly about what those are trying to tell us. Questions to ask yourself: is it inflammation, is it infection, what can I do to prevent this problem, is this chronic or acute? Yes, sometimes we need the pain to just go away, but its good to keep in mind that this life is not guaranteed without pain, and our pain may even bring us closer to the Lord. We also know, that if our salvation is sure, we will have no pain in Eternity.
Revelation 21:4- And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10- And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
All this being said, there are many herbal helps for pain depending on the need. Tissue & Bone Salve and Tincture is a wonderful help for burns, sore muscles, bad backs, even broken bones. Sometimes you want topical, sometimes you need both topical and oral herbs. Cayenne Salve can be helpful for pain relief, although you may or may not want to apply if area is inflamed or broken. Cayenne Salve can be layered as a secondary salve to help the primary salve to penetrate deeper. Cayenne Salve helps bring the blood to the area which helps bring healing to the area.
Inflammation: Is your pain caused by inflammation? Then I suggest trying this yummy naturally fall flavored tea, AIF (Anti-Inflammatory) Tea. Try this tea with an anti-inflammatory diet. Applying cold and hot, but mostly cold to the area will also help with inflammation.
Cramping or Spasms: Cramp Tincture is versatile in that it can be used by women for menstrual cramps and after birth pains. The Winter Sunshine Salve Formula has proven a prompt and effective relief for muscle spasms.
Fever: A fever is a part of the natural immune response that God has placed inside us. I often explain the complex immune response by personifying it. The fever is the “voice” of the T1 Helper cells, who have identified the foreign invader. They tell the T2 Killer cells to go attack! The fever literally helps activate our cells to fight against dis-ease. Now that you know that, you can understand how in almost all circumstances we want to support and encourage a fever, not take it away. A great way to support the body is to give Herbal Calcium Tincture during a fever. The Herbal Calcium will naturally lower a high fever a bit, but not take it away. It tends to even the fever out so we are not experiencing spikes and lows (chills & fever) as much. Fevers deplete our calcium stores, this lack of calcium can lead to scary febrile seizures, supplementing during this time guards against that.
Headache: Headaches are probably one of the main reasons we take Tylenol. Aspirin used to be the drug of choice for headaches until the FDA had to admit citing studies that Aspirin can cause Reye’s Syndrome and stomach bleeding. Interesting fact; aspirin was developed by creating a synthetic chemical copied from white willow bark. The active property in white willow bark is salicin. You can’t trademark God’s creation and so scientists made salicylic acid. That is the active ingredient in Aspirin. (Note: See the correlation between folate and folic acid? This coming in a subsequent blog/email.) Why not go to the source and take White Willow Bark then, right? Headache Tincture is just that, White Willow Bark. WWB has been used for centuries to treat headache, pain, fever, and inflammation. Another favorite of mine for headaches, is Headache Tea. This is a great mid afternoon tea and reminiscent of Lady Grey Tea. If you are in desperate need of help because your headache is not just a headache, but a migraine, you may want to try Anxiety & Migraine Tincture, this does have sedative properties to it.
I hope this helpful in your search to naturalizing your medicine cabinet and striving to be healthier to the Glory of God.
